House now pair of shops and offices. C17 origins with late C18
and C19 alterations. Red/brown brick, pantile roof, brick
coped gables, gable stacks. Small area timber-framed.
EXTERIOR: 3 storeys, 5-bay front with 2nd floor brick band and
bracketed cornice gutter. 2 late C19 shop fronts with brackets
to fascia, C20 shop windows. Central C20 doorway with plain
surround and hood. To first floor a canted oriel bay window
rises through 2 storeys, with reeded pilasters and roundels at
the angles and to panels. To right 4 plain sashes, above 4
smaller glazing bar sashes.
To the rear a long catslide roof has a small area of C17
framing visible in a side wall. In the main rear wing
elevation 3 openings have splayed stone lintels with
keystones, but the original arrangement of the rear front has
been lost due to later alterations. C20 single storey rear
extensions.
INTERIOR: retains C18 turned baluster stair, panel doors and
remnants of C18 panelling and some late thin timber framing
visible in passage walls.
