War Memorial opposite St Gregory's Church

War Memorial. 1920. To the designs of Sir Reginald Blomfield. Stone ashlar with bronze sword and plaques. Octagonal pedestal rises in steps and has bronze plaques recording the names of the fallen in both World Wars. Above is a tall cross with reversed sword on the front. The memorial was move to its present position from the top of North Street in the mid 1960's.
