Tomb of Thomas Daniell RA, deceased 1840. Portland stone tomb chest. Paired pilasters at each corner, fielded panels to sides and end. History: Daniell was the outstanding painter of Indian scenes and a propagateor of the Indian Style; inscription reads in part `He was distinguished in art by the natural beauty and graceful representation of his oriental scenes which realised to the imagination the splendour of British India'.
