Slab tomb to Charles Babbage (died 1871). By Lander, mason. Coped slab of grey Rubislaw granite, on base of York stone, signed Lander, mason. Of particular historic interest: Babbage was an outstanding mathematician whose calculating machine was the outstanding forerunner of the computer.
