War memorial. c. 1920. Pink sand stone and polished black marble with cast iron railings. Tall circular column surmounted by a cross stands on a rectangular base. Base has a black marble plaque to each face inscribed with the names of those inhabitants of Sproatley who "gave their lives fighting for God, King & Empire, 1914-1918 " and also the names of those who "fought" and those who "served" in the Great War. The stepped base of this memorial is surrounded by a low stone wall topped with cast iron spearhead railings and square corner posts topped onion finials.
