Toll house, now shop. 1814 with later alterations including
windows c1960-70s. Architect, John Collingwood. Painted render
over brick with slate roof and red brick central stack with
oversailing course and pots. Octagonal on plan. 2 storeys.
Entrance: 2 part-glazed doors with overlight between
horizontal-pane windows and frieze; windows to angle above are
two 4-light casements and two single lights. To left return a
round-arched opening on imposts now blocked and with similar
multi-pane casement. Similar to right return and to rear.
Frieze and wide eaves. Casement to first floor rear are
2-light. Mainly metal windows.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
