House, now shop. Early C19 with later additions and
alterations including shop front probably late C19. Reddish
brick in Flemish bond, stone sills; slate roof, rear and right
end brick stacks with pots. 3 storeys, 3 first-floor windows.
First floor has 6/1 near-flush sashes; second floor has 3/6
near-flush sashes, all with flat arches of gauged brick.
Ground floor has plate-glass windows with cylindrical mullions
on aprons, canted into off-centre left glazed door; renewed
fascia and cornice.
INTERIOR: not inspected.
Nos 51 to 54 (consecutive) and Nos 57 and 58 form a group with
No.1 and Nos 4 to 7 (consecutive) (qqv); the group forms a
visual approach to listed buildings in Foregate Street (qqv).
