War memorial. Circa 1920. Comprises a stone block wall surmounted by three stepped base, plinth and stone Latin cross about eight feet in height on which is set a sword of sacrifice on the front face to south west. An engraved piece of Portland stone about four feet in height facing south west is inscribed "1914 THE GREAT WAR 1919/ IN PROUD AND GRATEFUL MEMORY OF THE/ BRAVE MEN OF THIS PARISH WHO GAVE THEIR LIVES/ IN THE CAUSE OF FREEDOM". This is followed by the names of those who died in the First World War, followed by those who died in "1939 THE WORLD WAR 1945", thirty nine names in all. An intact war memorial, set into the churchyard wall in the centre of Fletching village.
