Ice house. C18 with C19 and C20 repairs. Red -brown and stock brick under earth mound. Barrel vaulted tunnel, approximately eight feet long leading to hemispherical chamber approximately nine feet in diameter, filled to ground level, and both with concrete floor. Interior walls are rendered. Entrance and outer flank of tunnel damaged to left, by tree roots. To right, C20 brick wall bonded into the original fabric, added as a screen or buttress. C20 vertically boarded door set back under entrance to tunnel.
Ice house formerly in the grounds of Petersham House (25/14). No.143a,(25/30), formerly known as Magnolia House formed the stables to the house, and is balanced by No. 141 (25/15) to the east.
