WHITCOMBE ROAD
The stone detached barn at Great Whitcombe Manor Farm
GV
II
Barn. Later C18. Built of coursed stone rubble with red brick dressings which include tiered ventilation slits. Central midstrey with double cart doors; the gable end has a rectangular loading door with wooden shutters and cast iron hinges at cart level. The gabled roof is now covered in C20 corrugated iron sheeting, but the visible end timbers show that principal rafters and purlins at least survive of the roof structure.
A substantially intact later C18 stone barn, which groups with Great Whitcombe Manor.
