Threshing barn. Mid C18. Aisled timberframed barn on brick base. Clad mainly in weatherboarding but part covered in corrugated iron. Hipped roof, formerly thatched but now covered in corrugated iron. Off central hipped cart entrance to south supported on double curved braces and lower entrance to north.
INTERIOR: Four bays including cart bay, one to east of cart bay, two to west and a further integral outshot to west. Aisle posts are supported on brick padstones and have jowls with cut profiles. Angled queenpost roof, purlins and pegged rafters without ridgepiece. Outshot has similar frame to main barn and some old weatherboarding to the partition wall.
A good example of an C18 aisled timberframed threshing barn with intact frame.
