BILTON IN AINSTY WITH BICKERTON
Mile-post 150 metres east of Springs Lane

Mile post, late C19, with a cast iron face bolted with square headed bolts to a gritstone support of triangular shape in section, with a rounded, flat-face top. Approximately 80cm tall. Inscriptions: at the top 'Collingham & York/ Road/ Bickerton'. Left face 'Wetherby/ 2 1/2 miles/ Collingham/4 1/2 miles/Leeds/15 miles'. Right face 'York/11 miles'.
