Milestone. Early C19. Doulting Limestone. A curved head with a white cast iron plaque with black lettering attached to its north face with two iron nails. The inscription reads 'Shepton/Mallet/3/Miles'. It appears to be in its original position and together with the other milestones in the parish, it is an important indicator of C19 road use. Included for group value.
