House. Early/mid C18 with C19 alterations.
MATERIALS: Rendered stone rubble with double Roman tile roof.
PLAN: Two-cell single depth plan with entrance to right and wing projecting to left (No. 2 qv) which obscures a part of No.3.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, ground floor has 2 modern windows with top opening lights, above late C19 4-pane sash, and blind recess to left. Part glazed door with flat hood on shaped stone brackets. Roof with stone verges, rubble stack to left. Rear elevation not seen.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
HISTORY: Avenue Place was one of the earliest developments in Combe Down, dating from the mid-C18 (it is shown on a drawing of 1759).
