House in row, with shop. Mid C18 with mid C19 alterations.
MATERIALS: Ashlar, painted except top storey, slate roof.
EXTERIOR: Five storeys and basement, two windows, all small four pane sash in plain reveals, and with cast iron balconettes at second and third floor. Ground floor with full width altered mid C19 shop front in two large panes, with very shallow transom vents, door set back to left, and with fascia and dentil cornice on deep scroll consoles, pavement grille to basement. Small coved cornice above second floor (continuous with No. 28 (qv) adjoining), sill band to fourth floor, coped parapet. The rear includes a good mansard slate roof with single dormer above two twelve pane and two blind lights to the top floor, cornice with blocking course to an eaves gutter.
