MATRIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, rubble to basement plinth, rubble to rear, double pile parapeted mansard roof, Welsh slate to front and rear, to rear with double Romans to upper slope, with coped party wall with two truncated rendered stacks to right. House at angle of Burlington Street and Portland Place has main facade to Portland Place with narrow two-window front at angle to right to Burlington Street, staircase to left front.
EXTERIOR: Front to Portland Place has three storeys, attic and basement, two-window range. First floor has four/four-sash in plain reveal to left, plate glass sash in plain reveal to right, second floor has six/one-sash in plain reveal to left, six/six-sash in plain reveal to right. Ground floor has plate glass sash in plain reveal with stone sill to left, to right six-panel door with flush, fielded and glazed panels in chamfered plain reveal splayed to right, two steps to concrete coated crossover with cast iron footscraper, small extension in basement area to left. Single dormer with plate glass horned sash. Front to Burlington Street has two grouped six/six-sashes in plain reveals to first floor, two similar six/one-sashes to second floor, two similar plate glass sashes with wrought iron guards and continuous stone sill to ground floor, two similar sashes to basement. Basement has four-panel door in concrete blockwork infilling under crossover, area steps gone. Single dormer with six/six-sash. Weathered sill bands to first and second floors, modillion eaves cornice and coped parapet continuous to both fronts, lead hopperhead and downpipe to far right. Rear elevation has three plate glass sashes to each of ground and first floors, six/six-sashes to second floor, double and single dormer with plate glass sashes and C20 window, lead hopperhead at eaves to right.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached wrought iron railings and two gates with urn heads and urn finials on limestone bases.
