Wide frontage house in row, now (Nov 1994) offices. Mid to late C18, some late C20 reconstruction.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, roof not visible.
PLAN: Party boundaries are aligned with Monmouth Street, and facade set at considerable angle, on trapezoidal site.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and basement, five windows, all twelve-pane sash, in moulded architraves to second and first floors, and with cornice hoods to pulvinated friezes and to sill band at first floor, to both upper floors windows two and five are blind. Ground floor sashes in plain reveals, bay four with sixteen-pane, bay five blind, and with heads of basement lights with bars to bays one and four. Central wide panelled door with transom light has on three steps, and reveals not square, follow party-wall alignment. Plinth, and above ground floor full width concrete band, replacing wood lintel, platband, with moulded cornice, blocking course and parapet. Each end high coped gables with deep ashlar stacks.
INTERIOR: Not inspected. Former list refers to display window to left of entrance.
