Detached villa. c1793 with C20 additions. By John Palmer.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, C20 slate roof and dormers.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and basement, originally with single window to front. C20 wing to right, or east. South facade has wide full height segmental bay with Venetian window of six/six-panes flanked by four/four-pane sashes to each floor, that to first floor has continuous balconette. Returned coped parapet and cornice, modillioned to front, second floor sill band and ground floor plat band. To rear of rubblestone left return are freestone dressings to tripartite sash windows, to centre six/six-pane sash windows over blocked door.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Forecourt contained by rough ashlar revetment wall that sweeps and steps down from left, curves at corner and spans front to meet tall gate piers with square domed caps to right. C20 gate and railings.
HISTORY: House said to be terminal of uncompleted terrace.
