Detached villa. c1820. Attributed to John Pinch.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, concrete tile roof.
PLAN: Compact block with low pitched hipped roof, and side entry to central lateral staircase, plus lower wing attached rear left.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys and lower ground floor, three windows. Centre light blind to first floor, blind with trompe l'oeil sash at ground floor. Twelve-pane sashes with margin light with floating cornices and light balconettes to ground floor. Lower ground floor has three wide twelve-pane sashes, with square panes. Flat pilasters at each end, slightly set in from corners, and eaves has broad flat soffit with brackets. Stacks each side. Left return has central panelled door in pilasters with entablature, on short flight of stone steps, and twelve-pane sash.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
One of a series of five similar but slightly varied villas in a group raised above the street level here; this one almost identical in the frontage to Nos 1 and 2 (qv), but without parapets.
