House, now flats. c1770-1775 (OS says post 1776) with C19 and C20 alterations. Possibly developed by Mark Spencer.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to front, rubble to basement, rubble to rear, double pile parapeted mansard roof, Welsh Slate to front and rear with coped party wall with two ashlar stacks to left. Staircase to front.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys, attic and basement, two-window range. First floor has to left two/two horned sash, to right six/nine sash with crown glass, both in splayed reveals with stone sills with wrought iron balconettes. Second floor has two six/six sashes in splayed and lowered reveals with stone sills. Ground floor has to left six/six sash in splayed reveal with stone sill with wrought iron balconette, to right six-panel door with flush beaded, fielded and single glazed panel in beaded reveal, one step to Pennant paved crossover with cast iron footscraper. Basement has two six/six sashes in plain reveals with continuous stone sill, ovolo moulded six-panel door under crossover, no area steps. Double dormer with two/two sash and single light casement forming fire escape. Band course over ground floor with large incised lettering `SPENCERS BELLE VUE¿, modillion cornice and coped parapet all continuous with No.4 Spencer's Belle Vue adjoining (qv). Lead hopperhead and part lead downpipe to right shared with No.4. Late C19/early C20 iron balustrade attached to parapet to protect fire escape. Rear elevation partially visible has plate glass sashes to second floor; plate glass casements to dormer.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
SUBSIDIARY FEATURES: Attached wrought iron railings and gate with arrow heads on limestone bases.
