Detached house, former farmhouse. Early C19 with C20 additions.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, composition slate roof, some pantile on extension.
PLAN: Large L-plan with hipped slate roof, principal elevation facing east, rear internal angle filled by one lean-to extension, and low hipped later range.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, original windows, to east and south fronts, are pointed lights with small-pane casements, in plat surrounds, main entrance front three windowed, with three:two:three-light above three-light, with drip courses, and central pair of part glazed doors to pointed opening. Front to road has two three-light windows at each level, and set back from front part of extension, with panelled door entrance. Large central ridge stack, and another to rear of east facing range. Rear has glazed door with sidelights, further C20 door and sidelights in lean-to extension, C20 glazed doors and paired sash in small hipped range attached.
INTERIOR: Partially inspected by Bath Council 1976: the ground floor ceilings were covered in polystyrene tiles, no cornices or mouldings remaining. Six-panelled doors and plain brochette marble fireplaces.
HISTORY: The former farmlands has been partly preserved as public open space, but is otherwise covered with C20 development.
