Three terrace houses, part of thirty-four terrace houses overlooking Royal Victoria Park to rear and with staircases at rear. c1789. Possibly by Thomas Baldwin.

MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar to both elevations, Welsh slate roofs.

PLAN: Double depth plans.

EXTERIOR: Three storeys with attics and basements (basements are full storeys at rear), each house has three window front. Ground floor rusticated with arched windows and doors with radiating voussoirs. Eight-panel doors with fanlight over. Platband forming sill band to first floor. Central window on first floor recessed and has pedimented head on console brackets. Recess arched and imposts extended to form band above heads of other two windows. Arch flanked by swagged relief panel. Second floor windows are plain. Listel, cornice, parapet, mansard roof with three dormers, ashlar stacks on party wall to right, double span roof. Basement area has two windows, wrought iron railings and bridge to front door. No.13 has four/four-sashes to ground and first floors, two/two to second and attic. Continuous cast iron balcony to first floor windows. No.14 has two/two-sashes with horizontal bars only to all windows. Continuous cast iron balcony to first floor windows. No.15 has six/six-sashes to all windows, and separate iron balconettes to first floor windows. Rear elevation is ashlar faced.

INTERIORS: No. 13 has horizontal sliding sash windows in attic, very fine Victorian cast iron balusters in form of sinuous vine on a stone staircase. No. 14 Large Greek revival elliptical arch with Jacobean strapwork on ceiling. Fine front door with circular panel, inner door with original fanlight, imaginatively glazed Edwardian door. Ornate balusters on stone staircase, very elaborate Adamesque fireplace.

HISTORY: These three house form an end piece to view seen along Brock Street past front of the Royal Crescent. As a result they are grander and more decorated than rest of terrace. Additional features are characteristic of Baldwin's work, but no other evidence for attribution.
