Pair of houses in row, set back from street. Plan form and main roof structure of No. 145 suggests early C17, refronted c1820.
MATERIALS: Rubble, mainly rendered, pantile roof, some concrete tile to rear.
PLAN: Single depth range, with parallel range behind No.145.
EXTERIOR: Two storeys, three windows, plain sashes to first floor, and at ground floor, to right, tripartite eight:twelve:eight-pane sash. No.146 has C20 shopfront, and C20 door with transom light, and No.145. Six-panel door with flat slab hood to moulded edge on shaped brackets. Each coped gable has ashlar stack. Rear range also has coped gables, one gable end in squared rubble with large dressed quoins, and two-light casement, main rear wall mainly in painted rubble.
INTERIORS: No. 145 has a much altered roof, but retains 300 x 100 principal rafters and tie beams with butted purlins jointed to principals with horn tenons.
