Public house. c1790, altered C19.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar painted to ground floor, double pitched mansard roof, with double Roman tiles to top slopes and slate to lower slopes two dormers and moulded stacks to returns.
PLAN: Double depth plan.
EXTERIOR: Three storeys and cellar, symmetrical four-window range. Coped parapet, cornice and ground floor platband continuous with those of No.5 to left (qv). Horizontal glazing bars to mid C19 horned two/two-pane sash windows, paired and to sides, plain semicircular fanlight over double doors to centre, two-pane overlight to door to far right.
INTERIOR: Not inspected.
HISTORY: Original lease is dated 24 June 1788. This has been the Rising Sun Inn since at least 1854.
