Formerly known as: Nos 10-22 (consec) & No.1 Belvedere Place MORFORD STREET. Two terrace houses, now flats. c1775-1789 with C19 and C20 alterations.
MATERIALS: Limestone ashlar, now painted, to fronts with timber bressumer over ground floor to right, ashlar and rubble to rear, double pile roofs, parapeted to front, covering not visible to front left, pantile to front right and to rear, coped party walls to left front of each house to left with ashlar stack to right with rebuilt brick stack, with ashlar and Render stacks rising from rear wall to left and to left end on rear slope of house to right. Staircases to rear, to right now removed.
EXTERIOR: Each house has three storeys and basement, single bay two-window front. To left first floor has two paired plate glass horned sashes in plain reveals with continuous stone sill and wrought iron balconette, second floor has two six/one-sashes in plain reveals with continuous stone sill and wrought iron balconette. Ground floor has to left plate glass horned sash in plain reveal with stone sill, to right C20 five-panel door in moulded stone architrave with frieze and projecting moulded cornice over. Basement window now blocked. Band course over ground floor, moulded eaves cornice and coped parapet rebuilt in reconstituted stone. House to right has to first floor two paired plate glass sashes in splayed reveals with continuous stone sill, two similar windows to second floor. Ground floor has two left two/two-horned sash with border glazing in splayed reveal with stone sill, to right C20 six-panel door in moulded stone architrave with niche for footscraper in plinth block to left with frieze and projecting moulded cornice over. Basement window now blocked. Band course over ground floor, moulded eaves cornice and coped parapet rebuilt in reconstituted stone. Rear elevations have six/six sashes, to ground floor of each house with horns, C20 windows to staircase to left, former staircase windows to right blocked. C20 alterations to basement to right, obscured by ramp to left, C20 five-panel door with C20 canopy over to left. Each house has D-plan opening in pavement with attached wrought iron guard on limestone base.
INTERIORS: Not inspected, noted as having undergone alterations during conversion to flats.
