First World War memorial, 1920, with later additions for the Second World War.
MATERIALS: Portland stone.
DESCRIPTION: The memorial cross stands by the south door of the Church of All Saints (Grade I-listed). It consists of a Portland stone Celtic cross with decorative knot work carved on the cross head and shaft. The cross rises from a tapering plinth, rectangular on plan, which in turn is raised on a rectangular base and low step.
The names of 10 men who fell in the First World War are incised on the front face of the plinth. The principal dedicatory inscription reads WICKLEWOOD WAR MEMORIAL/ 1914 – 1918/ REMEMBER BEFORE GOD THESE FALLEN/ IN THE GREAT WAR. On the west face of the memorial is the further dedication ALSO REMEMBER THOSE/ FALLEN IN THE WORLD WAR/ 1939 – 1945/ (4 NAMES).
The base is surrounded by a square stone kerb with four corner posts, enclosing a bed of stone chippings.

Wicklewood War Memorial was unveiled and dedicated on 2 August 1920. The ceremony was performed by Reverend Canon Upcher, Rural Dean. The memorial commemorates those ten men from Wicklewood who fell in the First World War. After the Second World War the names of a further four who fell in that conflict were added. In 2014 conservation work was undertaken to improve the legibility of the inscriptions.
Wicklewood War Memorial, which stands in the churchyard of the Church of All Saints, is listed at Grade II for the following principal reasons:
* Historic interest: as an eloquent witness to the tragic impact of world events on this local community, and the sacrifice it has made in the conflicts of the C20;
* Architectural interest: a richly ornamented Celtic cross;
* Group value: with the Church of All Saints (Grade I-listed).
