Castle style mansion by Robert Adam, circa 1790, designed
for Thomas Kennedy of Dunure who married Adams sister Jean.
Has a round tower and central stair like those of culzean;
principle rooms originally had good decoration. Wings in
similar style added in 1881 by Walker and Son of Belgravia.
In front of the main entrance and forming an Integral part
of the design is a long low stable range connected at
either end to the main building by screen walls with gateways.
