Description

Early 20th century, single storey, 3-bay cottage; white-washed
rubble, boulder footings. Centre door masked by corrugated
iron porch. Small casement windows; very small window,
centre rear; crowsteps; end stacks; corrugated iron roof.
Small byre, drystone rubble with crowstepped gable and
corrugated iron roof.

Statement of Interest

Good example of the vernacular, crowstepped and formerly

thatched cottage of extreme NW Sutherland. Appears

neither on 1st (1875) nor 2nd (1903) editions of OS.
