Description

Late 18th century, 2-storey, 3-bay SE facing house.
Whitewashed rubble with contrasting painted margins. Centre
door masked by later glazed porch with piended slate roof.
Single 1st floor windows in return gables; irregular rear
fenestration; mainly 12-pane glazing; coped end stacks;
slate roof. Single storey wing at NE gable

Statement of Interest

To NE of house, at verge of road is a small rustic

granite undated boulder memorial with oval polished granite

face inscribed to the memory of Lt. Col. Sir James John

Fraser of Ledeclune who fought at Waterloo (1815).

House damaged by fire in 1960, when all original internal

fittings were destroyed.
