Description

Robert Thomson architect. Late 19th/early 20th century.
In the manner of Alexander Thomson. 2 storey asymmetrical
Egypto-Greek villa. Stugged and snecked masonry with
polished dressings. Door in low porch at left. Advanced
gabled bay at left with moulded cill band to 3-light
pilastered window in ground floor and to 4 lights recessed
behind pilastrade at 1st. Similarly detailed 1st floor
windows in recessed bay. 3 lights in ground floor divided
by bold pilasters with simplified Egyptian capitals. Deeply
projecting eaves, end stacks with decorative chimney pots.
Slate roof. Some interior plasterwork and chimney piece.
