Description

Probably William Henderson, circa 1860. 2-storey, 3-bay bank.
Tooled ashlar frontage, harled flanks, polished ashlar
dressings. Centre door with round-headed keystoned doorpiece,
radial fanlight; flanking windows with moulded surrounds and
aprons; 4-pane glazing.
Angle pilasters at ground floor, rusticated quoins at 1st
floor; moulded eaves cornice with blocking course above.
Coped end and off-centre ridge stacks; slate roof; stone
ridge.

Statement of Interest

Former Union Bank of Scotland. William Henderson, architect,

designed all other branches of Union Bank in area.
