Mid-later 19th century (possibly containing earlier core)
rambling single storey and attic shooting lodge. Rubble,
tooled ashlar dressings. Projecting SE 3-bay front with
centre gabled porch with round-headed entrance flanked by
mullioned and transomed windows, set in canted bay at right.
Further irregular 5-bay range set back at left. Gabled garden
front with some modern alterations. NE gabled bay with canted
mullioned and transomed window left and linked by wall at
right to harled stumpy drum tower with conical roof. Glazed
sun parlour, (modern) with arcaded front against linking
wall. Varied fenestration, mainly with 2-pane glazing;
decorative finialled bargeboards to all main elevations.
Pair large later 19th century coats of arms (carved stone)
set in rear wall.
Coped end and ridge stacks; slate roofs.
Community centre and cottages; later 19th century L-plan
single storey and attic range of community centre, 3 2-bay
cottages and (fishing) rod room. Harl pointed rubble, tooled
rubble dressings. Pair canted bay windows with bipartites
linked by slated canopy flank entrance to gable end cottage;
further bipartites flank entrances to 2 outer cottages; 6
gabled dormers break wallhead; 4-pane glazing. Verandah masks
entrance in gable end to rod room. Entrance to community
centre in re-entrant angle. Coped ridge stacks. pair louvred
ridge ventilators with ogee lead caps; slate roofs.
Walled garden rubble. Walled garden backs onto
cottage/community centre range.
