Description

Mid 18th century. Octagonal 2-storey gazebo. Harl pointed rubble, ashlar margins. Windows in alternate faces, some blind in ground floor. Taller 1st floor reached by external staircase with cast-iron handrail at N side of building. 12-pane glazing. Tall wallhead stack at E; facetted pyramidal slate roof; weathervane.

INTERIOR: 1st floor octagonal chamber with small mural fireplace. Wooden shelves inset in wall with shaped wooden surround painted to imitate carved reeding and rosette. Painted ceiling rosette in style of contemporary plaster ceiling roses.
