Circa 1848 for Edinburgh and Northern Railway, architect
David Bell(?). Double gabled one-storey block at north end
of sidings; workshop range attached at south east. Engine
shed: skew gables, slate roofs, coursed rubble, freestone
dressings, clock and oculus in south gables; 4 stilted round
arched engine openings, plain boarded doors; flank elevation
with 8 diamond glazed windows, raised margins. Workshop:
hipped slate roof with stone chimneys rebuilt in brick,
raised louvre in centre of roof; large segmental arched
entrance flanked by double diamond-paned windows, raised
margins, single sash to right end; circular clock in gable
end.
On eastside of railway (to north of station) and outside old
burgh boundary of Ladybank.
