2 Early 19th century L-plan blocks forming open rectangular
courtyard: some alterations by Sir Robert Lorimer, architect.
South principal front: symmetrically planned; 2 storeys, 6
bays. Harled, with ashlar dressings; advanced, broad gabled
outer bays, segmental headed carriageway in each (that to
right flanked by inserted windows) and originally mullioned
segmental openings above, that to left altered to rectangular
window, blind oculus in gable heads. Single windows to inner
bays, doors in bays between: continuous 1st floor cill course
and single raised window with piended dormer head altered by
Lorimer. External forestair to north elevation leads to 1st
floor door with swept roof. Axial stacks and slate roof.
Altered rubble-built block extends northwards. Adjacent
single storey block is rubble-built; ashlar faced symmetrical
5-bay west elevation has segmental-headed carriageway in
slightly advanced central bay, flanked by bipartites, door in
outer bays. Pantile roof with slate easing course.
Now partly used as dwelling house.
