Description

Mid 19th century. Large steading complex. Whin rubble with droved yellow ashlar dressings, slate roofs throughout. Comprises courtyard,

5 parallel ranges, former engine house, mill and cattle and pig pens. Mainly single storey, some ranges with flots. South elevation: central 9-bay block has 9 arcaded, depressed-arched cart entrances (central one taller and wider), single square-headed loft opening over each arch:

2 right arches blocked: lower single storey flanking wings each with segmental-headed cart entrance, additional doors and windows. Long single storey east range returns to join taller central borth block with former engine house at rear, the chimney of which partially survives.

5 piended gable ends of parallel ranges form west elevation. To rear of

north block L-plan grain store with ramp leading to upper loft entrance and cattle pens.
