A Category A Listed Building in Huntly, Strathbogie and Howe of Alford, Aberdeenshire

  • St Mary: built c13 as simple oblong structure, fell into disuse in 1810 when roof was lost

  • St Mary: belfry added 1664; window alterations of c17 replacing lancets; original south doorway

  • St Mary: Romanesque doorway; chevron decorations

  • St Mary: general interior looking east; doorway in east wall added c17

  • St Mary: mid-c16 Sacrament House (used to contain the consecrated host) with nearby slab with Gordon arms 1580

  • St Mary: mid-c16 Sacrament House; detail with panelled buttresses & pyramid roof surmounted by crucifix
