Description

K6 type, designed by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, 1936. Red
painted cast-iron telephone kiosk; Scottish crown inserted in
each facet below domed roof; word 'Telephone' in each upper
light. Margined horizontal glazing.

Statement of Interest

This is not the actual telephone box used in the making of

the film 'Local Hero', much of which was filmed in Pennan in

the early 1980's.
