1773 with later additions and alterations. Simple rectangular
church, harled with tooled ashlar margins and dressings. 6
plain square-headed windows regularly spaced in S elevation,
each window checked for exterior shutters, 2 shutter hooks
surviving each side; round-headed gallery window in each
gable, also with shutter hooks; the E gallery window
lengthened to light E end of re-cast interior. Bellcote
at W gable; ball finial at E; slate roof.
Single storey, 2-bay rear vestry.
Gabled porch dated 1922 projects from W gable.
INTERIOR: plain interior re-cast to E. Late 19th century
pulpit, communion table and organ at E; gallery at W;
plank dado; plain pews. Simple lattice-pane glazing with
some coloured glass, probably of late 19th century date.
Ecclesiastical building in use as such.
Church constructed on present site as being more 'central
and convenient; in 1773, superseding the earlier church at
Inverboyndie.
A fine chair in the church is dated 1733 and initialled IA
for Rev John Anderson, Minister of Boyndie, 1738-51.
Former Boyndie Parish Church (Church of Scotland).
