Description

Probably 17th century with 19th century extension. Scottish
style. L-PLAN CORE: 2 storeys and attic. Rubble, partially
harled; gabled slate roof; Crow-steps. Interior largely
re-modelled. EXTENSION TO S.W. WITH 3-STOREY-AND-ATTIC
'KEEP': Crenellation; angle turrets (with semi-conical
roofs.)

Statement of Interest

Seat of Lindsay MacDougalls of Lunga. Formerly called

'Daill.' Original dower house of Craignish. Acquired by

John MacDougall of Lunga (in Jura Parish) 1744. Renamed

Lunga House c. 1900. Partly used as weekend guest house
