Dated 1790. Georgian. 3 storeys. Rendered front and rear; harled ends; piended slate roof; piended dormers at ends.
Projecting central pavilion: ashlar; pediment; coat of arms, motto, date 1790 urns at vertex and corners; moulded eaves course; string course; prominent quoins. Projecting central pavilion at rear: pediment; panel inscribed "Major General John Campbell of Barbreck and Janet Colquhoun, his spouse, 1790". Also, piended wing.
Fine interiors: good staircase chimney-pieces, moulded plaster ceilings
and friezes.
Two 1-storey gabled offices to N. and S; urns; oculi; Palladian windows; linked to main block by screen walls; blind segmental arches FARM-STEADING: Around yard at rear. 1 storey and loft; rubble; piended slate roof.
Domestic. Formerly the seat of Campbells of Barbreck and of Achanduin (in Lismore). Built for Major General John Campbell.
