Circa 1900. Symmetrical single storey and attic, 4-bay pair of shops. Aberdeen-bonded squared and coursed granite. NW (principal) elevation comprising pair of tall central doors set in part glazed canted timber sidelight recesses with flanking display windows. Low piended roof. Above, distinctive triangular-plan set back gabled dormers with decorative bargeboards. Later extensions to SW.
Deep eaves, grey slate, red tile ridge, NE display window retains 4-pane glazing, plate glass to SW.
INTERIOR: modernised but retaining some original elements. Lamont Sporrans retains cabinets from former use as Chemists Shop, and has original corner fireplace uncovered. Both shops have timber panelling laid directly onto stonework.
