Dated 1866. Formerly 2 cottages for retired estate workers, single storey, 3-bay. Squared and snecked rubble freestone with grey ashlar dressings. Central bay with window to front and rear, advanced and gabled with a door to each return. Window to flanking bays. Blank gable ends to N and S each with advanced, quoined flue at centre. Sash and case bipartites with wooden mullions and 4-pane glazing pattern. Grey slates, overhanging bracketted eaves, cope ashlar stacks.
built adjacent to the bowling green by Kinloch of Gilmerton to house retired estate workers. Kinloch sold all other cottages in village apart from this after 1st World War. Now administered by Trustees and run as shop and Post Office.
