Traditional Dalriadic-type cottage, one of a group comprising the original crofting township. South-facing, and set below main road at SW corner of group, part of a formal open-square lay-out whose other member buildings are much altered. Probably late 18th/early 19th century. Corrugated iron replaces original thatch; walls are whitewashed rubble. 3-bay front with centre boarded door; 4-pane sash windows; single end stack survives, at E, above corrugated-iron lean-to - corresponding range at W on whitewashed rubble base, timber and corrugated iron above.
3 windows to rear, all 4-paned, only 2 are sash and case.
