Earlier 19th century. Imposing pair of single storey feeding byres converted to warehouses, on ground sloping to E. Rubble with droved long and short quoins and large catslide pantiled roof.
Stepped roofline to S with overhang on timber posts to left and derelict opening to approximate centre. Large timber door to W marked 'Duty Free Warehouse No 8' and door to E with cast-iron access stairs (both to N range).
The Long Byre, originally 2 feeding byres, pre-dates both Grange Cottage and Grange Flats. At the time of resurvey (1994) this building has an unexecuted consent for demolition. The Old Office House, Warehouse, Grange Flats, Grange Distillery Cottage and Main Gateway are listed separately.
