Description

Mid-later 19th century. Tall 3-storey and attic, 5-bay N
facing (seaward) store, built against side of hill and
revealing only single storey and attic, 6-bay S elevation to
street. Rubble, tooled grey granite dressings.
N (SEAWARD) ELEVATION: symmetrical 5-bay 1st and 2nd floors
with off-centre canted dormer. Near centre pedestrian doorway
flanked at right by wide segmental-headed entrance within
shallow recess accommodating sliding doors.
S (STREET) ELEVATION: off-centre entrance flanked by small
oriel window and with off-centre canted dormer. Near-centre
entrance to warehouse; 5 small rectangular vents at base of
building lighting store.
Mainly 12-pane glazing. Coped end stacks; slate roof.
