Late 18th/early 19th century probably incorporating 17th
century fabric. Single storey and attic, 3-bay cottage with
single storey, 3-bay addition to north, formerly steading.
Rubble-built, harl pointed (part now with cement pointing),
limewashed. Central door with later gabled porch, 2 gabled
dormers, circa 1870, end stacks, slate roof.
Former steading with off-centre door, altered fenestration,
asbestos roof, piended to north. Rear extension.
Prince Charles, Edward Stewart is said to have visited the
cottage in 1746.
