Description

Circa 1845. Refitting and improvements, Alexander Ross, 1869.
Large plain double pile rectangular church; rubble. Round
headed doorway centre long west elevation; original long
round headed windows in paired north and south gables with
intersecting multi-pane glazing. 2 long (later) square
windows and 1 small but similar above pulpit in east
elevation. Slate roof.
Interior: plain interior with 1869 fittings; 6-bay arcade
running north/south supported by 7 octagonal varnished and
stencilled columns. Long gallery across west wall. Square
panelled pulpit; plain pews. Simple cast-iron railings to
street frontage; drystone wall.
