Description

Dated 1859. Simple rectangular 3-bay church with single
bay, slightly lower chancel at east gable. Harl pointed
rubble, tooled ashlar dressings. Entrance porches project
from centre of (harled) west gable and also from re-entrant
angle at north side of chancel with E gable. Paired small
pointed headed windows with shaped occulus above in west
gable; similar windows light north and south long
elevations; tall pointed headed window with Y-tracery in
east gable; lattice pane glazing.
Simple bellcote at west gable apex; triangular skewputts;
steeply pitched slate roofs.

Statement of Interest

Ecclesiastical building in use as such. Knoydart,

like Moidart, traditionally Roman Catholic, and there

were 3 RC churches or chapels. (1 survives in use at

Inverie).
