Description

Dated 1888. Plain rectangular church with bowed east
gable, and with single storey and attic, irregular 4-bay
presbytery projecting at right angles at SE, forming
L-plan range. All tooled sneck coursed rubble, with
tooled granite dressings.
Church: 4-bay south elevation with 3 pointed headed
windows, low alternating buttresses, and with projecting
lean-to porch incorporated in base of battered round tower
at SW angle. Tower rises 2 stages above wallhead, with
4 square-headed louvred vents in upper stage, bracketted,
bellcast conical roof with decorative cast-iron finial.
Trefoil window in west gable apex; shoulded headed niche
below with statuette; some modern stained glass. Cross
at west gable apex; slate roof.
Interior: simple interior with short gallery at west.
Presbytery: off-centre door in west elevation; 3 windows
break wallhead as gabled dormers; 2-pane glazing; end
and ridge stacks; slate roof.
